This animation illustrates how
VisualCFD uses
sequential command buttons on the
toolbar to perform complex Euler CFD analyses without the
need for commands embedded deep within the file menu. This CFD analysis
uses the 1st, 2nd, 4th,
5th and 7th command buttons on the toolbar
for the analysis of a 3-D projectile. The toolbar displays the following
screens during the analysis, Fluid Properties,
Generate geometry,
Mesh control parameters,
Solution control parameters and Plot results.
This analysis demonstrates how to model a 3-D projectile having
an ogive nose and ogive boat tail operating at Mach 2 and
5 degrees AOA. This analysis required 24 minutes and 200 iterations to achieve a
pressure change per iteration convergence criteria of 7.27E-8. The VisualCFD library of
built-in airframe shapes include nose cone, body tube #1, expansion/reduction
section, body tube #2 and expansion/reduction section in addition to
imported airframe shapes, fins any many more options ...
